Car Rubbing/Polishing

Rubbing: let us try and understand why rubbing is required and how does it helps to maintain your car in original and neat look. You must have often observed small scratches, stone marks, marks of acid rain, bugs shit, bird marks etc, these are the defects which actually does not damage the complete paint lining, but only the top most layer of it. So in order the stains on the top most layer of your car paint, rubbing is being done. Rubbing is a process which results in removal of stains and marks on the car’s paint surface, and gives your car a smooth and neat look.

Car Polishing: Many a time people miss interpret polishing as rubbing, and get their car polished even without rubbing, which always left dissatisfaction, as the desired results are never achieved. Let us first understand what does polishing do? Polishing is done basically to smoothen the surface of paint and provide a glossy shine to your cars painted surface, but when you polish your car without rubbing the paint surface to obtain a smooth and scratch less surface, the desired results fails to be seen, because the spots and scratches on the paint surface never gives that shine which a smooth and spotless paint surface gives, so in order to get your car polished and for better results always go for a rubbing session of your car before polish.

Polishing on your car would give it a mirror shine look, which would enhance your car looks and would make it like new, if not exactly new.

Teflon Coating OR Paint Protection Coating

Teflon is being used basically to repel dirt and water so they don’t accumulate on your car for a period of time, a Teflon coat lasts on a car for almost 6-8 months as per Indian climatic conditions. Also you’ll get factory shine just with rain or a simple wash off with water.

Polycoat Lamination OR Paint Protection Coating

Polycoat Lamination is a polymer which upon exposure to oxygen, heat and water (any water other than mineral water ) changes its state to form a thin film like protection to the cars which is very good and effective, the process is also called as Polymerization.

The whole procedure only requires a thorough application of the compound on the car except wind shields. Sprinkling spray of water on the applied part and drying the compound in circular motions with absorbent towel, using water and gentle rubbing of the compound and allowing it to polymerize….!!

Polycoat lasts on a car for almost a year and a half as per Indian climatic conditions.

Anti-Rust Coating

A Car Body is made up of several Metals – Iron, Steel, Aluminium, Copper etc. Rusting is the common term for corrosion of iron and its alloys. Corrosion is the reaction of Iron and Oxygen, as may present in Water or Air Moisture. Any Iron material when exposed to both oxygen and water is bound to rust – unless a preventive coating is applied on to it.

For Areas with higher Moisture – Rusting is a common Phenomenon on Iron & Steel Products. Additional is the Sea Water Proximity – The presence of salt acts as a catalyst, accelerating the corrosion chemical reaction process.

Anti-Rust is a hard coating on the underbody of the car, that is fast-drying, paintable, rubberized, non-toxic and chip-resistant. It also minimizes sound from underneath the vehicle and insulates against the heat and cold.

Anti-Rust coating lasts on a car for almost 2-3 years as per Indian climatic conditions.

Engine Coating

This treatment is designed to provide a high gloss and slippery coating on the engine parts, hoses, etc. The primary advantage of this treatment is to prevent the hoses and electrical wiring from getting bitten by rats so that a vehicle parked for a long duration is not a victim of such untoward incidents.

Dent Removal Tips:

• Plunger: Wet the dent with water and wipe it with dish liquid. Press the plunger against the car to create suction, then pull it back using the same motions. Do this until the dent pops back into place.
• Hammer and Dolly:Place the dolly against the highest point of the back side of the dent. Gently tap the dolly with the hammer until the sheep metal moves back into place.
• Body Filler:For small dents, body filler is an easy way to go. This requires no drilling or using a dent puller. Apply a thick coat of body filler. Allow the filler to dry for at least an hour and then sand it smooth. Once the area is smooth with the surrounding surface of the car, you can apply primer and then paint to completely finish the dent.

Replacing the transmission assembly –transmission problems can be caused by regular maintenance. These problems are rare only if regular maintenance, especially if you follow your manufacturer’s guide, is carried out. Without a fully functioning transmission, your car will be unable to turn and to replacement of the transmission assembly will be required.

Replacing the cylinder head and spark plugs –– not maintaining your cylinder head and spark plugs can lead to engine failure. Misfires in your engine will cause the cylinders to heat up and fail.

Replacing the camshaft –failure to change your oil regularly and cleaning your valves will lead to dirt and grime building up which can result in your camshaft failing. This usually only happens if regular maintenance is neglected so you shouldn’t have a problem with this assembly unless you fail to maintain your vehicle.
